Rick Acker is the author of legal thrillers such as WHEN THE DEVIL WHISTLES, BLOOD BROTHERS and DEAD MAN'S RULE. He writes on the train while commuting to and from his "real job" as a Deputy Attorney General in the California Department of Justice, where he has led confidential investigations into large and sensitive cases that made headlines in and out of California. Rick holds law degrees from the University of Oslo and the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with honors. In addition to his novels, he is a contributing author on two legal treatises published by the American Bar Association.
