Norm spent almost twenty-five years as a litigation attorney, then was appointed as a judge for the city of Chicago, where he presided in thousands of trials and hearings.
?Norm also organized and presented a number of rather large science fiction conventions in conjunction with the BBC for their Doctor Who television series and was featured on a nationally televised segment of the Entertainment Tonight TV show back in the 1980's. He went on to co-produce ten stage plays including one that ran upon London's famed West End for six months, and a world premiere of an A. R. Gurney play starring George Segal and Betty Buckley in Chicago. ??
Norm currently resides in the sunny Sonoran Desert near Phoenix, AZ, with his Golden Retriever, Sunny. He is an Active Member of the Horror Writer's Association (HWA), and is also a member of the International Thriller Writer's, Inc (ITW). ??Norm has had over one hundred published Horror & Thriller Genre book reviews over the past three years. Norm has written a regular column for Fear Zone "Macabre Musings," and is and/or has been a regular reviewer for Horror World, a regular columnist for Shroud Magazine, and also, is a reviewer for Cemetery Dance Magazine and Dark Scribe Magazine. He served an enjoyable stint as the reviewer for the Pod Of Horror podcast hosted by author and professional radio host, Mark Justice.
Norm has had extensive experience working freelance as both a copy editor and Associate Editor for a number of Specialty Presses, including Bloodletting Press, Cargo Cult Press, and Thunderstorm Books, and is currently employed as the Editor for Dark Regions Press.
Norm is proud to be a contributor to the recently released David Morrell and Hank Wagner edited hardcover Anthology, Thrillers: 100 Must Reads, and is currently busy working on two screenplays as well as a new novel collaboration with his generous and gracious co-author, Carol Weekes. Norm’s very first fiction short story, “The Closet”, co-authored with Carol Weekes, has been purchased and will appear in the forthcoming anthology Fear Of The Dark, to be released by Horror Bound Magazine Publications
