Margie Orford is a Cape Town based thriller writer. Like Clockwork and Blood Rose are the first two books in her series featuring Dr Clare Hart, an investigative journalist and part-time police profiler. Daddy's Girl, the prequel, is due for release in 2009. She is translated into German, French, Dutch, Russian, Czech amongst others. Her series is due for release in the UK in 2009. She lives in Cape Town with her family. Margie is also the patron of RapeCrisis in the Western Cape. She is the author of several non-fiction works and books for children
