My twenty year career in media and communications--spanning the spectrum from community relations in Chicago to U.S. and world government's public communications on nuclear power--has given me special insight into people: their emotions, desires, needs and struggles.
I am currently working on an unconventional action/thriller novel. I have transported into it my unique people life experiences, and the exotic international locations I have visited--making the novel I believe distinctive with vibrant characters. Background: International trainer on media relations specializing in nuclear communications. Conducted training in 12 diverse countries.
Two papers, COMMUNICATING RISK TO THE PUBLIC and ACHIEVING SUCCESSFUL COMMUNICATION, were published by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Former media writer and spokesperson for Chicago's Human Relations Board and U.S. government's Nuclear Regulatory Agency.
Authored CONDUCTING PUBLIC MEETINGS which was published by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NRC) as an official agency document.
Awarded and cited numerous times by the U.S. NRC for outstanding initiatives and performance and for exceptional efforts related to journalistic skills.
Former instructor at Chicago's Columbia College on public relations presentations.
Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communicationss with Honors from Roosevelt University, with a minor in journalism.
Advanced training in Executive Media Relations Program of the Chicago Police Department.
Attended various courses at the U.S. NRC's Technical Training Center as well as the course "Occupational & Environment Radiation Protection" at Harvard School of Public Health.
