Audible announces BREAKOUT THRILLERS
A new recommendation program in association with the International Thriller Writers.The leading provider of premium digital spoken audio information and entertainment, Audible, Inc., an Amazon.com, Inc. subsidiary (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced BREAKOUT THRILLERS, a new monthly co-marketing program with the International Thriller Writers (ITW), the world's leading organization of thriller writers. BREAKOUT THRILLERS is designed to promote the best thrillers in audio as recommended by a rotating roster of best-selling writers.

Here's how BREAKOUT THRILLERS works. Audible has invited fifteen of the bestselling thriller writers in audio who are also ITW members to be part of the program. Audible gave each of them a list of every ITW member who has a book in audio available at Audible and the titles available -- except themselves of course. The bestselling authors can then request any titles they want to listen to or, if they have previously listened to them, they can just make the recommendation.

BREAKOUT THRILLERS is the latest effort in Audible's ongoing association with ITW. ThrillerFest
ITW's annual celebration of the thriller world is the largest event of its kind, a meeting place for authors, readers, budding writers, and publishing industry professionals.
For 2009, we're in the heart of New York in July, with two special add-on events, CraftFest and AgentFest, where authors of all levels can meet the professionals.
