With a razor-sharp story of revenge, conspiracy, and murder, #1 New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci is back with another edge-of-your-seat thriller, Stone Cold.
Oliver Stone and the Camel Club are back in their most dangerous adventure yet, a war on two fronts with casino king Jerry Bagger from The Collectors hunting Annabelle Conroy who conned him out of millions and a deadly new opponent – Harry Finn who sets his bull’s-eye on Stone which may cause readers to reconsider their views of good and evil. As bodies and institutions topple, the story rockets toward a shattering finale that will leave the survivors of this explosive tale changed forever.

Hard on the heels of the successful 2006 Left Coast Crime in Bristol is another conference: Crimefest, organized by the same team that coordinated last year's LCC. The dates are 5 - 8 June 2008, the registration fee is £125, and the location will once again be the Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel.

Besides interviews with the Featured Guest Authors (Lee Child, Karin Fossum and Ian Rankin) there will be panels representing the widest range of the crime genre.  In addition, The Ian Fleming Centenary will be celebrated in grand style with one or two panels dedicated to the author who created James Bond, one of the greatest thriller heroes of all.

On November 1st, a new review website launched that will allow writers to unleash the reviewer within ... www.writersarereaders.com offers commercially published authors a chance to review a book of their choice, then submit the review for web publication.

The book for review need not be fiction, but cannot be a technical or textbook. It can also be any genre, not just the one in which the author normally writes.

Writers Are Readers debuted with 33 inaugural reviews, some of which are written by ITW members and NY Times best-selling authors. Publishers Weekly (November 5, 2007, pg. 20) has already quoted one review, and the website is not yet two weeks old.

The publishers of the website recommend a professional tone suitable for a major newspaper, but want authors to be authors, and applaud and appreciate the individual voice and style. Once published, the reviews are available to anyone, free of charge or site registration. Writers Are Readers hopes to build a lasting library of literate and helpful reviews as a resource for bookstores, libraries, readers and authors.

For questions, current articles, and more information on how to submit a review, please visit www.writersarereaders.com.
