The encirclement of Dunekirk is closed and its destruction by the German Air Force only a question of time. At least, Herman Göring announces this full-bodied. But while Guderians tanks stand still and have to watch deedless, the Royal Navy once more shows its abilities.
In the operation Dynamo 400,000 men shall be rescued from the beaches, a complete army which will bee urgently needed in the future. And the only thing between this army and the British coast is a handful of submarines gathered in all hurry to disturb Dynamo. For Lieutenant-Commander von Hassel's U-68 the channel is a life-threatening area, too shallow and too narrow for the big boat. While U-68 attacks nevertheless, on the skies circle permanently the vapor trails of fighting planes and once more the German Navy has to learn, there is no more dangerous enemy to them as the own air force.
